Monir Hossain, MBA, CSCM™️ has a diverse work experience in the field of merchandising and planning. Monir started their career as a Merchandiser at Benetex Industries Limited in 2010 and worked there until 2012. Monir then joined MASCO GROUP, Bangladesh as a Merchandiser and later progressed to the role of Senior Merchandiser from 2012 to 2014. Monir demonstrated their expertise in areas such as coordinating with buyers, sourcing trims and accessories, preparing costings and negotiating prices.
In 2014, Monir joined Hop Lun as a Sr. Merchandiser and later served as an Assistant Manager from 2017 to 2021. In their role as Assistant Manager, they were responsible for effectively communicating order details to suppliers, managing the order placement process, and ensuring on-time delivery. Monir also handled production problems and presented alternatives to buyers and line managers. Currently, Monir holds the position of Manager, Merchandising & Planning (Head of PMC) at Hop Lun, where they continue to play a crucial role in order management and operations.
Monir Hossain, MBA, CSCM™️ graduated from Southeast University (BD) with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing in 2018. Monir obtained their CSCM™️ certification from ISCEA - International Supply Chain Education Alliance in December 2021. In addition, Monir earned certifications in Effective Workplace Communication from Bangladesh Skill Bank and DISC personality system from Hop Lun in November and December 2021, respectively. Monir also completed a workshop on DE&I and Unconscious Bias (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) at Hop Lun. Furthermore, they completed an internship at RK Spinning Mills Ltd. Finally, in November 2017, Monir acquired a certification in 'Production Making & Quality Design (Knit/Woven)' from Best Pacific Textile in Dong Guan, China.
