Matthew Farmer

Matthew Farmer is an accomplished professional in the field of dance and fine arts, currently serving as a member of the International Council of Fine Arts Deans since November 2018. Matthew has held various prominent academic positions at Hope College since July 2011, including Endowed Professorship and Full Professor, Department Chair, and Associate Professor of Dance. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Dance at Anderson University from August 2009 to May 2011 and as a Guest Artist at Eastern Michigan University from August 2008 to May 2009. Additionally, Matthew worked as the Associate Director of LehrerDance from August 2007 to June 2008. Matthew earned a Master of Fine Arts in Performance and Choreography from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre/Theater and Dance from Hope College, with a study period at Liverpool Hope University in 2003.
