Carrie Sanders is an accomplished leader and social innovator with extensive experience in community development and engagement. As the Founder and CEO of Hope Community Capital LLC since January 2016, Carrie has facilitated financing and investment opportunities to support economically emerging communities. Carrie held multiple roles at Edgewood College, including Faculty in the Social Innovation & Sustainability Leadership Graduate Program and Director for Community Engagement and Impact, where Carrie developed initiatives to advance social innovation. Carrie also served as Director of Community & Economic Development at Nehemiah Community Development Corp, focusing on African American entrepreneurship and community wealth building. Prior roles include Vice President of Community Lending at Forward Community Investments and Senior Consultant at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and ongoing theological studies at the University of Dubuque.
