Melony K. has extensive experience in public health and epidemiology, having served in various roles including KidCity Registration Volunteer at Hope Community Church RDU since August 2014, where responsibilities include managing child registration for weekend classes to enhance facility security. Prior experience includes working as a Student Intern with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, assisting in investigations of drug traffickers, and serving as a Teaching Assistant for an Epidemiologic Research course at Rutgers School of Public Health, where Melony provided hands-on support in data analysis. As a Research Assistant at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Melony led major studies, conducted statistical analyses, and contributed to peer-reviewed publications. Additional roles include working as a Public Health Representative for the New Jersey State Cancer Registry and a summer Academic Fellow at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Melony earned a Master of Public Health and a PhD in Epidemiology from Yale and Rutgers Universities, respectively, following a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Economics from Rutgers.
