Kathy Saloy

SVP, Community & Economic Development at Hope Credit Union

Kathy Cobette Saloy is the Senior Vice President of Community and Economic Development for Hope Enterprise Corporation, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. She works to expand Hope’s Small Business initiatives with a focus on growth and business development through outreach to a range of community and economic development entities, determining eligibility and financial report management.

She leads Hope’s Healthy Food financing initiatives. Her areas of focus are healthy food access and focusing on other economic development asset building strategies. Kathy has been instrumental in working with municipalities in Louisiana that have budgeted funds for healthy food to develop heathy food programs. She has facilitated countless community financial literacy workshops and presentations to support wealth building strategies.

Kathy’s extensive financial management career dates back to the 23 years spent at Hibernia/Capital One Bank where she held various officer managerial roles in operations and served in different capacities on the bank’s business development projects. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing with a Minor in Economics from Xavier University of Louisiana,

Kathy is member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and currently serves as the South Central Regional Louisiana Cluster financial secretary, financial secretary for the Crescent City OLQ Charitable Organization and a past president of the Omicron Lambda Omega Chapter. Kathy was also an Advisory Council Member to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation Board, New Beginnings Charter School, member of the Louisiana Notary Association and 2019 Regional Chairman of the South Central Regional AKA Conference in New Orleans.
