Gopal Kumarappan

Gopal Kumarappan joined Hope's board in 2021. He is currently leading the document cloud engineering (e-signature) team for Adobe and helping customers with their digital transformation journey. Gopal has spent the last 20 years in the Bay Area helping many enterprise customers through positions at Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and Cisco. He strives to provide excellent customer experiences through the products and services he helped to build.

Gopal is also passionate about enabling and empowering the community around him. He currently serves as a commissioner for the city of Cupertino and actively participates in education-related reforms. He is currently working on a project to help and promote the well-being of seniors in his community. On weekends, you can find Gopal teaching the Indian language of Tamil to preschool kids, something he has done for the last 18 years. He also is very involved in coaching high school students and mentoring professionals on leadership.
