Jaco du Plessis

Jaco Du Plessis has extensive work experience in various finance-related roles. Jaco is currently serving as CFO at hoppa since February 2021. Before that, they founded and served as Managing Director at Simplifii Strategic Finance in November 2020. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director at Abman (Pty) Ltd from March 2019 to November 2020. Jaco also worked as Chief Financial Officer - Insurance at One Insurance from September 2014 to November 2020. Jaco gained financial executive experience at Ellerine Holdings from April 2011 to September 2014. Additionally, Jaco worked as an Audit Senior at Deloitte Canada from January 2008 to March 2011 and from January 2008 to December 2010.

Jaco Du Plessis has a diverse education history. Jaco began their academic journey in 2007, when they pursued a CA (SA) Bcompt - Honours (CTA) degree at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. This degree focused on the field of Accounting and Finance. In 2008, they extended their knowledge by attending SAICA, where they furthered their understanding in Accounting and Finance with a CA (SA) qualification, which they completed in 2010. Returning to education after a break, Jaco enrolled in the Wits Business School in 2017 to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Business Administration and Management, General. This course lasted until 2019. It is evident that Jaco Du Plessis possesses a well-rounded educational background, with a focus on both accounting and finance as well as business administration and management.
