Ignasi Marimon-Clos

Ignasi Marimon-Clos is a seasoned software engineer with significant experience in various engineering roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Hopper since November 2021, Ignasi previously contributed to Lightbend, Inc. from November 2016 to August 2021, focusing on the Lagom and Play frameworks as well as the Akka ecosystem, particularly in persistence and projections. As the CTO at Enerbyte smart energy solutions from October 2015 to October 2016, Ignasi led a team in transitioning from a PHP monolith to a microservices architecture while migrating to AWS. Additionally, Ignasi has co-organized several software development conferences, including Software Craftsmanship Barcelona and AgileCrete, and has served as a freelance Scala/JVM Senior Engineer. Ignasi's technical foundation includes a Master's degree in Telecommunications and a Postgraduate certification in IT Project Management from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
