James Bitter

James Bitter has extensive experience in the financial and retirement planning industry. James started their career as a Divisional Sales Manager at Travelers in 2005 before moving on to become the Regional Vice President of Sales at MetLife in 2006. At MetLife, they also served as the Manager/Managing Consultant of the MetLife Pension Resource Center, where they played a key role in building a new business unit. In 2009, they worked as a Retirement Plan Industry Consultant before joining The Hartford in 2010 as a Regional Sales Director, focusing on tax-exempt retirement plans. James then joined MassMutual in 2013 as the Managing Director and NonProfit Practice Leader. Since 2018, they have been working at Horace Mann as the Vice President of Retirement Business Development, where they are responsible for formulating and executing business strategies to acquire new clients in the retirement plan market. Overall, James Bitter has a strong background in sales, consulting, and business development in the retirement planning industry.

James Bitter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Miami University. James has also obtained various certifications, including S6, S7, S24, and 63 from FINRA. Additionally, James has earned the designations of CLU and ChFC from The American College of Financial Services.
