Vice President Information Technology at Horace Mann

Matt Wilson has over 25 years of work experience in the field of information technology. Matt started their career as a Developer at Pythia Corporation in 1995, where they worked until 1998. Matt then moved to Levi, Ray, & Shoup Inc. and served as a Senior Software Architect from 1998 to 2011. During this time, they played a key role in the development of the Retirement System Administration Product, conducting industry research and overseeing technical requirements and validations. In 2011, Matt joined Horace Mann as the AVP of Enterprise Architecture, responsible for IT strategies, architectural directions, and emerging technologies. Matt held this position until April 2020 when they were promoted to Vice President of Information Technology, leading the Growth Enablement teams and driving value for the organization through big data, integration, enterprise architecture, and customer-focused initiatives.

Matt Wilson earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Illinois Springfield in the period of 2010 to 2014. Prior to this, they attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1994, but no degree or field of study information is available for this time. In terms of certifications, Matt obtained a Certified Guidewire Developer certification from Guidewire Software (formerly ISCS) in 2017 and a TOGAF certification from The Open Group in 2014.
