Horato Alger Scholarship Recipient at Horatio Alger Association

Kaitlyn Bassford is a Restaurant Team Member at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and a Teacher at Computer Science Youth of America. Kaitlyn is also the president and founder of CSYA's Maryland Chapter. Kaitlyn has participated in various computer science programs and received scholarships from Horatio Alger Association and QuestBridge. Additionally, Kaitlyn was a participant in Distinguished Young Women of Southern Maryland and a recipient of the 2024 Scholastic Award. Kaitlyn has completed their high school diploma at La Plata High School and is currently studying at the College of Southern Maryland.
