Michael Saunders

Michael Saunders has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting roles. Michael most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Horbury Group starting in August 2019. Prior to that, they were the Finance Director - UK Building at Interserve from November 2017 to August 2019. From July 2013 to September 2017, they were the Commercial Finance Director at Tétris-bluu, where they were responsible for commercial finance across multiple business departments and financial control for contracts ranging from £100k to £10m per year. From July 2013 to August 2015, they were the Group Finance Director at bluuCo, overseeing financial and statutory reporting and payroll. Michael also served as a Financial Controller at MarketAxess from June 2012 to June 2013, and as the Group Finance Director at Geovert from January 2010 to January 2012. Prior to that, they held finance roles at Howdens Joinery Co, Compass Group, and Costcutter Supermarkets Group Limited, where they gained experience in reporting, analysis, forecasting, and management accounting.

From 1999 to 2001, Michael Saunders attended the University of Sunderland, where they pursued studies in Business and Finance. In 2006, they obtained a certification in Acma from CIMA.
