Brian Long

Brian Long is a Senior Consulting Actuary at Horizon Actuarial Services, a position held since November 2023. Previously, Brian served as AVP of Actuarial Services at LIBERTY Dental Plan from November 2021 to October 2023 and worked as a Consulting Actuary at Milliman from February 2013 to November 2021. Earlier in the career, Brian was the Actuarial/Underwriting Manager at Sharp HealthCare, managing both the Underwriting and Actuarial departments from March 2008 to January 2013, and held the role of Actuarial Analyst at Milliman from February 2006 to March 2008. Brian began as an Actuarial Student at Assurant Health from June 2003 to January 2006. Academic credentials include a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School and a BA/BS in Math, Management Science, and Psychology from UC San Diego.
