Mark Johnson

Mark Johnson has a strong background in the banking industry, with over 30 years of experience. Mark began their career at Genesee Bank / NBD in 1983, starting as a Credit Analyst and eventually becoming a Consumer Lender. During their time at Genesee Bank, they gained valuable skills in credit analysis and people management. In 1988, Johnson joined Fifth Third Bank / Old Kent Bank as a Vice President, where they stayed until 2007. Mark then moved to Chemical Bank, where they held various roles including Community President, Senior Lender, and Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking. Most recently, Johnson joined Horizon Bank in 2020 as the Holland Community President.

Mark Johnson attended the University of Michigan from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance. During the same period, they also attended the University of Michigan-Flint, where they earned a diploma in accounting.
