Nicholas Kuiper

Nicholas Kuiper has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Construction Carpenter at Ross Williams Construction before transitioning to Weller Truck Parts as a Differential Technician and later as a Line Leader in Differential Manufacturing. Nicholas then gained experience as a Sales Associate at Wayland Do It Best Hardware.

In 2019, Nicholas began to focus on automation engineering, starting with an internship at Kellogg Company as a Process Automation Engineering Intern. Nicholas then interned at Pfizer as an Automation Engineering Intern before becoming an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Western Michigan University.

Nicholas continued to pursue their interest in automation engineering, joining MAVERICK Technologies, a Rockwell Automation Company, as an Automation Engineer in 2021. Nicholas then moved on to Eli Lilly and Company, serving as a Senior Automation Engineer until 2023. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Automation Engineer at Horizon Controls Group, starting in May 2023.

Nicholas Kuiper pursued their education in a chronological order. Nicholas began their academic journey at Grand Rapids Community College from 2015 to 2017, focusing on Pre-Chemical Engineering. Nicholas then transitioned to Western Michigan University, where they studied from 2017 to 2020, earning a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering, specializing in Chemical Engineering Life Sciences.

Notably, Nicholas furthered their education by attending Purdue University from 2023 to 2025, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Nicholas also obtained several certifications. In August 2019, they completed the DMAIC Yellow Belt certification at Pfizer. Prior to that, in July 2015, they participated in the Line Leader Training Program offered by Weller Truck Parts.
