Grace Freke is a Scientific Project Specialist specializing in gene editing at Horizon Discovery since September 2021. Previously, Grace worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UCL's Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, focusing on molecular and cell biology, where techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing and RNAseq were employed to evaluate experimental hypotheses. Earlier experience includes a PhD Industrial Placement at GSK, where advanced technologies in cell biology were utilized, alongside roles in bar management and private tutoring during academic studies. Grace holds a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology and both an MRes in Systems and Synthetic Biology and a BSc in Biochemistry from prestigious institutions.
