James Tindell is the current Division Finance Officer for Horizon Global Americas at Horizon Global. Prior to this, they served as the Controller for Newell Brands from May 2011 to June 2014. In this role, they were responsible for leading and mentoring a team of three finance professionals who supported the Technology Business Segment of Newell Rubbermaid. Additionally, they served as the project lead for a team consisting of Sales, Channel Marketing, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, and Finance to deliver Q4 Corporate task of $5M in incremental revenue; the team delivered $7.4M.
As a finance leader of a CEO-formed Sales and Marketing organization, James provided financial leadership and counsel to SVP/VP's and their respective Sales teams. James was also a finance business partner to five CDO Sales teams totaling $1.8B in annual revenue, including customers such as Walmart (NA & LATAM), Amazon, Clubs, Target, Toys-R-Us, Bed Bath Beyond and others.
In addition to these responsibilities, James also managed a team responsible for the long-term and monthly forecasts, promotional profitability analysis, customer P&L development, and variance analysis reporting and commentary. James also led the development and refinement of the CDO's forecasting process; during phase one the forecasting process (development to reporting) was reduced from 15 days to six days.

James Tindell completed their undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they majored in accounting and finance. James then went on to earn their MBA from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management, with a concentration in finance and strategy and a minor in international business.
They are on a team with Matt Pollick - COO, Dennis Richardville - CFO, and Lee Adelman - SVP, Commercial. James Tindell reports to Terrence G. Gohl, President & CEO.
