Adam Sewell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Adam is currently the Director of Workforce Development and Human Services at Horizon Goodwill Industries since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Spiritual Care/Bereavement Coordinator at Heartland Hospice Services from August 2020 to September 2021. In 2019, they served as the Pittsburgh Ministry Center Director at SEND RELIEF, where they were responsible for creating and implementing a vision and strategy for fighting poverty and eradicating food insecurity and homelessness. From 2014 to 2019, Adam was the Lead/Founding Pastor at The Well Church, where they successfully established a new church and formed a strong partnership with a national organization resulting in significant investment in the local community. Before that, they worked as a Lead Church Planter at North American Mission Board and as a Student Pastor at Crosspoint Church. Their earlier experience includes serving as a Youth/Worship Pastor at Clearview Baptist Church from November 2010 to July 2012.
Adam Sewell earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Marine Sciences from Coastal Carolina University in 2009. Adam later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2009 to 2011.
