David Schwartz Asa, Maaa

David Schwartz, ASA, MAAA, currently serves as Manager, Actuarial II at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey since March 2020, where prior roles included Actuarial Analyst III and Actuarial Analyst II. Previous experience includes positions as Associate Actuary and Assistant Actuary in the Health Bureau at the New York State Department of Financial Services from April 2015 to March 2020, as well as a Sales Support role at Safavieh Carpets in 2014-2015. David also has experience in education, having worked as a Mathematics Teacher at Hebrew Academy of Long Beach Elementary School and in Saturday Classes for Young People at Hofstra University. David holds a Master of Science in Mathematics Education from Hofstra University, a Professional Achievement Certification in Actuarial Science from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Hofstra University.
