Maureen Higgins

Maureen Higgins has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Maureen is currently the Director of the Strategic Initiatives Group at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, where they previously held the role of Senior Manager. Prior to that, they worked at Bain & Company as a Manager and Consultant.

Their earlier experiences include working as an Associate at UM Social Venture Fund, where they were responsible for sourcing and screening business plans, conducting due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies. Maureen also served as a Summer Associate at Bain & Company and as an MBA Student Consultant at the University of Michigan Institute for Health Policy and Innovation, where they conceptualized a research center to bridge clinical work and health services research.

Maureen has also held roles as a Graduate Student Fellow at Education Pioneers and as a Research Analyst and Research Assistant/Programmer at Mathematica Policy Research, where they led teams, conducted analytical work, and presented findings to clients in the fields of health and education.

Maureen Higgins pursued their education from 2007 to 2011 at Tufts University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Quantitative Economics. Later, from 2014 to 2017, they attended the University of Michigan, completing a Master of Public Policy degree. During the same period, they also pursued a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business, which they completed in 2017.
