Michael Downey

Michael Downey has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Michael currently works as the Director of Horizon Expand Sales at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey since April 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of AVP-Ancillary Benefits Leader at USI Insurance Services from March 2018 to April 2023. Michael also worked as a Consultant at Ari Financial Benefit Group from October 2017 to January 2018. Additionally, they have experience as a Sales Analytics Manager at MagnaCare from September 2016 to October 2017, Sales Director at National Vision Administrators (NVA) from December 2015 to July 2016, and Regional Director of Benefit Sales at Security Mutual Life from August 2013 to December 2015. Michael began their career at Geico as a Sales Representative from April 1995 to October 2000, and also worked as a Sales support manager at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America from November 2000 to May 2003, and as a Sales Manager at Anthem, Inc. from May 2003 to March 2013.
