Tru Nguyen Fsa, Maaa, Chie

Tru Nguyen has extensive work experience in the actuarial field. They began their career as an Actuarial Contractor at Dai-ichi-life Vietnam in 2011. From 2012 to 2015, Tru worked as a Risk Adjustment Actuarial Analyst at Excellus BCBS. They then moved on to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas, where they held various roles including Managing Actuary, Senior Managing Actuary for Exchange Affected Pricing, and Senior Managing Actuary for Government & Consumer Solutions FP&A. Tru joined Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey in 2020 as Director of Risk Adjustment Modeling & Analytics and later became Senior Director of RA Modeling, Analytics & Submission.

Tru Nguyen, FSA, MAAA, CHIE, has a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Actuarial Science with a Finance Option from the University of Waterloo. In addition to their degree, Tru Nguyen has also obtained several certifications, including being a Certified Healthcare Insurance Executive from AHIP, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) from the Society of Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) from the American Academy of Actuaries.
