Alan Swimmer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Alan is currently the Managing Director at Horizon Kinetics LLC since July 2018. In 2019, they became the Alumni Board of Governors Chair and a Trustee at Washington University in St. Louis. Previously, they served on the Board of Directors at RMG Networks from April 2014 to August 2018 and at Minneapolis Grain Exchange from August 2009 to August 2018. Alan also held positions such as Managing Director at Environmental Financial Products, LLC from September 2014 to June 2015, President at Prescient Ridge Management LLC from October 2012 to March 2014, and Managing Director at JP Morgan from June 2008 to December 2008. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns from August 2002 to March 2008. Alan started their career as an SVP at Citigroup/Salomon Smith Barney from 1990 to 2002 and as a Vice President at Drexel Burnham Lambert from 1984 to 1990.
Alan Swimmer received their A.B. degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, completing their education from 1978 to 1982.
