Brandon Colavita, CFA has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Brandon began their career as a Capital Markets Intern at CIT in 2013. In 2014, they joined Horizon Kinetics LLC as an Analyst, where they worked until 2016. Brandon then moved on to become an Associate at Horizon Kinetics, a role they held until December 2020. Brandon was promoted to Vice President at Horizon Kinetics in January 2021 and continues to contribute their expertise to the company.
Brandon Colavita, CFA has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics with a Concentration in Management from The Wharton School, which they obtained from 2009 to 2013. Prior to this, they attended Washington Township High School from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their education, they hold the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder certification from the CFA Institute, which they obtained in August 2019. Brandon also has additional certifications, including the Series 66 and Series 7, from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

We are an independently owned and operated investment boutique that adheres to a long-term, contrarian, fundamental value investment philosophy that the founders established 26 years ago at Bankers Trust Company. Horizon Kinetics has over 70 employees and has primary offices in New York City, White Plains, NY and Summit, NJ.
