Matthew Chilson

Matthew Chilson possesses extensive experience in media planning and communications, currently serving as a Senior Media Planner for Digital at Horizon Media since June 2022. Prior roles at Horizon Media include Associate for Integrated Investment, Media Planner for Digital, and Assistant Media Planner for Digital. Previous experience includes working as an Account Manager and Account Associate at Heelprint Communications from October 2020 to April 2022, and a stint at Weber Shandwick as a Media Genius Exchange in the summer of 2021. Matthew has also contributed to The Daily Tar Heel, where roles included Assistant Sports Editor, Senior Sports Writer, and Sports Writer from August 2018 to May 2020, as well as serving as a Columnist for Clemmons Courier between August 2016 and June 2018. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, completed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022. Education was preceded by graduation from West Forsyth High School in 2018.
