Dara Rose has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Dara started their career at Project Reach Youth in 1994, where they held different roles as a Program Coordinator and Youth Worker until 1999. In 2000, they joined the Citizens Committee for NYC as the Director of Youth Unlimited, where they worked until 2002. Dara then moved on to the Partnership for After School Education (PASE) and served as the Co-Director of the Professional Development Institute and the Coordinator of Queens Cultural Partnership from 2002 to 2006. Following their time at PASE, they joined The Wallace Foundation as a Senior Program Officer, where they worked for 11 years from 2006 to 2017. Currently, Dara is the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Horizons National, a role they have held since April 2017.
Dara Rose has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Latin American and Caribbean Area Studies, and Spanish Literature from SUNY Binghamton. Dara also holds a Master's degree in non-profit management, specifically an MPA, from New York University.
