Shane Overington

Shane Overington is an experienced data scientist and engineer, currently serving as the Lead Data Scientist at Horizon Power since December 2018, where responsibilities include fulfilling data requests and applying machine learning algorithms to enhance maintenance processes. Prior to this role, Shane was an Engineering Analyst at GET Trakka Pty Ltd, focusing on wireless sensor technology for mining equipment. Earlier positions include Postgraduate Electronic Engineer at Sci.Aero, Casual Technician at Curtin University, and Sessional Instructor at Curtin University while completing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Control System Engineering. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Power from Curtin University and a secondary education from Narrogin Senior High School.
