Chenfeng Tu

Chenfeng Tu is a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Horizon Robotics since November 2023. Prior to this role, Chenfeng Tu served as a Computer Vision Research Engineer at Apple from October 2020 to November 2023, focusing on visual localization for Apple Maps, Lidar SLAM, and iPhone camera calibration. Chenfeng Tu also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from November 2018 to July 2020, specializing in SLAM and online sensor calibration in the Robot Perception Lab. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at Peking University from July 2017 to May 2018, where Chenfeng Tu conducted research on driving behavior modeling for autonomous driving using machine learning, and an internship as a Software Engineer at Intel Corporation from July 2016 to February 2017, focusing on indoor navigation and robotic design. Chenfeng Tu holds a Master of Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s Degree from Peking University.
