Karin Rosen M.D.

Karin Rosen MD PhD is an accomplished Chief Scientific Officer and Executive Vice President of Research and Development at Horizon, a position held since November 2020. Prior to joining Horizon, Karin served as the Senior Vice President and Head of US Medical Affairs at GSK, overseeing a team of over 300 professionals and leading product strategies across multiple therapeutic areas. Karin's experience includes roles as Senior Vice President of US and Global Medical Affairs at Aimmune Therapeutics and Therapeutic Area Head for the Immunology and Respiratory Franchise at Genentech, where significant contributions were made to successful product launches. As Lead Medical Director in Clinical Development at Genentech, Karin was integral to late-stage product development and regulatory approvals for various biologics. Karin obtained both MD and PhD degrees in Medicine from Lund University between 1988 and 1993.
