Alma Allen

Alma Allen is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Alma began their career as a Staffing Coordinator at Excel Staffing in 1997, where they recruited and filled positions for manufacturing companies in the Twin Cities. Alma then transitioned to The Art Institutes International Minnesota, where they served as a Senior Career Services Advisor for various programs, providing job search strategies and career guidance to graduates for six months after graduation. Alma joined Horizontal Talent in 2012 as an Interactive Recruiting Practice Lead, responsible for recruiting and collaborating with teams to source candidates for IT and digital roles across various industries. In 2018, they worked as a Group Fitness Instructor at Life Time Inc. Currently, Alma holds the position of Regional Delivery Director at Horizontal Talent, where they lead and executes strategic initiatives to ensure efficient delivery for both internal and external clients. Additionally, they serve as the Director of Talent (Staffing), overseeing recruiting strategies and account management for multiple locations.

Alma Allen completed their Associate degree in Graphic Design at The Art Institutes International Minnesota from 2011 to 2013. Alma is currently pursuing a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University, with an expected completion date in August 2023. In addition, Alma has obtained certifications in "Start Your Talent Insights Journey Assessment" from LinkedIn in July 2023 and "Unconscious Bias" from LinkedIn in May 2021.
