Bryson Newland

Bryson Newland is an experienced marine engineering professional with a comprehensive background in the maritime industry. Currently serving as a First Assistant Engineer at HORNBECK OFFSHORE® since October 2023, Bryson's previous roles include First Assistant Engineer and Second Assistant Engineer at Military Sealift Command from April 2016 to October 2023, as well as Third Assistant Engineer at Hornbeck Offshore Services from April 2014 to March 2016. With foundational experience as an Engine Cadet at various companies, including Liberty Maritime and Matson Navigation Company, Bryson also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering Systems from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, completed in 2009. Additionally, Bryson has a strong naval background as a Division Officer in the US Navy from June 2009 to April 2014, showcasing qualifications in Surface Warfare.
