Karen Lawler

Karen Lawler has extensive experience in the production industry. Karen currently holds the position of Director of Production at Hornet, a role they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Production at Hornet from December 2020 to March 2023.

Before joining Hornet, Karen worked as an Executive Producer at Psyop from June 2018 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for analyzing budgets, recommending protocols to increase efficiency and output, and reporting directly to the Managing Directors, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. Karen also bid on new productions, scheduled them, established key deadlines and crew, and oversaw the production process through delivery.

Karen's previous experience includes working as a Producer at Blacklist Productions for over ten years, from November 2007 to May 2018. Karen also served as a Post Producer at 1stAveMachine from November 2016 to February 2017 and at ODD - Office of Development & Design from June 2015 to July 2015.

During their time at Havas Worldwide from May 2014 to March 2015, Karen held the role of Post Producer at Studio 6. In this position, they were responsible for bidding, scheduling, and managing new business pitches for Havas' in-house Production Company. Karen also served as a Post Producer on a variety of broadcast and industrial spots for clients such as New York Life, Charles Schwab, Ameritrade, IBM, and Liberty Mutual.

Karen also gained experience as a Producer at MPC from January 2014 to March 2014 and as an Executive Producer at THE WILDERNESS from October 2013 to January 2014. Karen began their career as a Visual Effects Producer at MassMarket, where they worked from January 2010 to May 2013. Karen also worked as a Producer at Charlex from September 2011 to January 2012.

Karen Lawler attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University from 1994 to 1998. Karen obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film and Photography from both institutions.
