Dennis Weigand

Dennis Weigand has worked in the quality assurance field since 1988. Dennis began their career at Colgate Plastics as a Quality Assurance Manager, where they answered customer complaints/concerns, became a certified supplier for several key customers, and instituted inspection criteria to assure product quality. Dennis then moved to American Rubber Products, where they served as Quality Assurance Manager and obtained QS-9000 certification, acted as the management representative for QS-9000, and obtained Ford Q1 Status.

In 1999, they became an Audit Coordinator at Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems, where they were the divisional lead auditor for internal audits to the Quality Management System, acted as an escort for registration audits, and evaluated corrective actions for nonconformances.

In 2000, they worked as both a Business Systems Analyst and Quality Engineer at Caplugs, where they created applications for data gathering and reporting, maintained network infrastructure, managed user profiles and authorization to network resources, and acted as a Quality Engineer.

Dennis then moved to Tulip Corporation, where they were the Quality Assurance Manager and managed the Quality Management System, obtaining ISO-9000 certification, and managed the testing lab for plastic testing and reporting.

In 2008, they became a Quality Engineer at Prestolite Electric, where they initiated a green belt project to reduce alternator warranty claims by $550,000, made decisions on defects and their effects on alternators, and investigated customer complaints and implemented corrective actions.

Finally, in 2011, they joined Horschel Brothers Precision, LLC as Quality Manager.

Dennis Weigand completed a Certificate Program in Supervisory Studies at Cornell University between 1986 and 1990. Dennis then went on to earn an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Erie Community College.
