Allison J. Farrell is a Senior Litigation Counsel at the Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit, responsible for overseeing the anti-doping and controlled medication program for Thoroughbred horseracing. Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU)
The Horseracing Integrity & Welfare Unit (HIWU), a division of Drug Free Sport International, was created to serve as the independent enforcement agency of the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority's (HISA) Anti-Doping and Medication Control program. The HIWU will establish a comprehensive and robust program that includes uniform testing protocols, adjudication processes and enforcement mechanisms to increase accountability and enhance the integrity of the competition for participants, fans and bettors.
