Philippe Saucier has worked in various roles in the information technology field since 2002. Philippe began their career as a Formateur en informatique at Programme EBB - Cégep de Jonquière in 2002. In 2003, they took on two roles: Spécialiste en sciences physiques at MDDEP and Auxilière d'enseignement et de recherche at Université Laval. At MDDEP, they were responsible for the diffusion of climatological data and wrote expert reports, as well as appearing as an expert witness in court. At Université Laval, they were involved in the assembly of lasers, setting up a Fourier transform spectrometer, and data acquisition and processing. From 2009 to 2012, Philippe Saucier worked as an Analyste en informatique at Université du Québec, where they designed and maintained web applications, programmed in ColdFusion, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and MySql, managed SAS servers, and provided support for users of DRUPAL and Tikiwiki. Philippe also held the role of Developpeur backend et infra at Hortau from 2012 until present.

Philippe Saucier began their educational journey in 1998 when they obtained their B. SC in Physics from Universit\u00e9 Laval. Philippe then went on to pursue a M. SC in Physics - Optique et Lasers at the same university, which they completed in 2004. After that, they continued their studies at Universit\u00e9 Laval and obtained a Certificat in Informatique in 2011. Prior to that, they had also pursued a period of doctoral studies in Spectrom\u00e9trie par transformation de Fourier at Universit\u00e9 Laval from 2005 to 2008.
