Paxton Berger is an experienced Application Engineer at Horton, Inc. since April 2023, focusing on clutch and cooling fan design for new applications. Prior to this role, Paxton served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from March 2021 to June 2023, conducting research on soft robot mechanisms utilizing hydraulic cylinders for underground applications. Additionally, Paxton managed laboratory operations for the Mechanical Energy and Power Systems Laboratory, overseeing experiments and equipment. As part of the Gopher Motorsports FSAE Team from November 2020 to June 2023, Paxton designed and tested drivetrain components for a high-performance racecar. Paxton earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, completing the degree in 2023, following an education at Mahtomedi Senior High School.
