Deborah May

VP Learning, Development & Inclusion at Hosparus Health

Deborah May has over 30 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Deborah currently serves as the VP of Learning, Development & Inclusion at Hosparus Health since July 2020. Prior to that, they were the AVP/Managing Director of Education & Training at Hosparus, Inc. since May 2010. Deborah also founded their own consultancy, MayStrategicSolutions, LLC, in 2010.

Previously, Deborah worked at Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare as an Assistant Vice President in the Office of Diversity from 2004 to 2010. Deborah also held leadership positions at Jewish Hospital Healthcare Services, including Assistant Vice President and Executive Director of the Four Courts Senior Center from 2001 to 2004, and Director of Management Development and Diversity from 1996 to 2000.

In their earlier career, Deborah started as a Registered Nurse Clinician at Jewish Hospital in 1981 and worked their way up to Assistant Supervisor of Critical Care. Deborah'sresponsibilities included managing critical care units, providing training and orientation to staff, and overseeing patient care.

Deborah May holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Spalding University, which they obtained between the years 1977 and 1981. Deborah later pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration at the University of Louisville from 1998 to 2000. In 2006 and 2007, Deborah obtained a certification in Diversity from Cornell University/Bellarmine University.
