Lynda Trafford-Couto BSN, RN, CHPN has a diverse work experience spanning various healthcare and non-healthcare settings. Lynda currently works as a Weekend Service Operations Manager at Hospice of Michigan and as a Triage Nurse at the same organization. Prior to this, they worked as a Realtor at Nouveau Premier Realty LLC. Lynda also served as an Advanced Care Planning Facilitator at Iris Healthcare and as a School Nurse at Maxim Healthcare Group. Earlier in their career, Lynda worked as a Registered Nurse at Lifespan and as a Registered Nurse, Triage at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, where they were responsible for acting as a communication liaison and teaching and supporting patients, families, and facility staff over the telephone. Lynda also has experience as a Registered Nurse, Inpatient Unit at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care Rhode Island, where they coordinated patient care and admission and collaborated with the interdisciplinary team. Lynda has also worked as a Charge Nurse at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where they supervised and evaluated nursing care on a 41-bed unit. Additionally, they worked as a Procedure Nurse at University Urological Associates Inc. throughout their career.

Lynda Trafford-Couto BSN, RN, CHPN completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing from Chamberlain University from 2014 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the Community College of Rhode Island between 2009 and 2012. During this time, they also earned a Certification in Emergency Management from the same institution from 2010 to 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, Lynda obtained the Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) credential from the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association in December 2020. Lynda also holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, both obtained in March 2021.

Currently, Lynda is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Western Governors University, which they started in 2021.
