Claudio Lottenberg

Dr. Claudio Luiz Lottenberg has been the President of Sociedade Israelita Brasileira Albert Einstein since 2001. Dr Lottenberg graduated in medicine at Escola Paulista de Medicina in 1984. He did his residency and fellowship in Ophtalmology and obtained a PhD degree in Medicine. He was the Secretary of Health of the City if Sao Paulo in 2005. Today, besides his role at Albert Einstein he also serves as a senior advisor at University of Sao Paulo Medical School Foundation, Chairman of LIDE Health (LIDE is a private organization which brings together entrepreneurs in twelve countries and four continents), and president of the Jewish Confederation of Brazil (CONIB). He was elected one of the leaders of best reputation by Exame in 2013 and elected the Executive of Value in Healthcare” by Valor Econômico in 2014. (Exame and Valor Econômico are nationwide magazines that cover Brazil´s social, economical and political environment). During his tenure as president of the Society he has championed many progresses, such as the inception of the Diagnostic and Preventive Medicine Division (and our network of satellite units in a hub and spokes system) and the institutes of Education and Research, Social Responsibility and Consultation. The institution not only diversified and grew in size, but also grew in relevance and importance for the public and private health system in the country, becoming the leader in healthcare innovation in Brazil.
