Maria Demestre

Maria Demestre, Ph.D., is an accomplished scientific and project manager currently at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute. Previously, Maria served as the head of biology at Vitala Technologies and held the position of senior researcher at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where Maria contributed to the Open Innovation Lab in Bioengineering focused on reproductive health and smart nano bio devices in nanomedicine. Additionally, Maria led a scientific group in the Stem Cell and Neurodegeneration Lab at Universität Ulm and worked as a senior researcher in neurodegeneration at the Department of Neurology.
