Ashis Barad M.D.

Ashis Barad MD is a highly experienced physician and healthcare technology leader currently serving as Chief Digital and Technology Officer at the Hospital for Special Surgery since September 2024. Previously, Ashis held the role of Chief Digital and Information Officer at Allegheny Health Network from May 2022 to September 2024, where leadership was demonstrated in the digital health strategy and implementation. Ashis also spent over a decade at Baylor Scott & White Health, serving in various capacities, including Clinical Lead in the Digital Health Office and System Medical Director for Virtual Specialty Care Services, focusing on digital health solutions and virtual care innovation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ashis's extensive educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and board certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, complemented by leadership roles in medical procedures and the development of healthcare technologies.
