Jessica Schwartz-Dillard

Jessica Schwartz-Dillard, PhD, RN has a diverse work experience in the healthcare informatics field. Jessica'smost recent role is as a Clinical Informatics Lead at the Hospital for Special Surgery, where they started in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center from September 2021 to June 2022. Jessica also has experience as a Predoctoral Fellow at Columbia University in the City of New York from June 2018 to July 2021. In addition, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health from January 2020 to May 2020.

Before their time at Columbia University, Jessica worked as an Epic Ambulatory Analyst at NYU Langone Medical Center from March 2016 to July 2018, where they focused on user-centered design and clinical decision support. Jessica also served as a Site Support Specialist/Epic Principal Trainer at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi from August 2014 to December 2015, where they optimized workflows and provided on-site support for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. Prior to that, they worked as a Registered Nurse at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, providing nursing care to a diverse patient population and conducting research projects. Jessica also has research experience as a Research Assistant at The Ohio State University and as a Student Intern at the National Institutes of Health, where they worked on various projects related to informatics and healthcare research.

Jessica Schwartz-Dillard, PhD, RN completed their education in a chronological order. Jessica obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Clinical/Nursing Informatics from Columbia University School of Nursing, from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with a minor in Women's Studies from The Ohio State University, from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their educational qualifications, they have obtained several certifications including Registered Nurse from The State of New York in 2018, and various certifications from Epic in the years 2015 and 2016. Jessica has also obtained a certification in UX Research: Foundations from LinkedIn Learning in 2021.
