Matthew Vaccarino

Matthew Vaccarino, MBA has over 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement. Matthew currently serves as the Director of Strategic Sourcing at the Hospital for Special Surgery since 2022. Previously, they worked at NYU Langone Health for 10 years, where they held several roles, including Strategic Sourcing Manager responsible for Periop, Ortho, Radiology, Pharmacy, Respiratory, and Faculty Group Practices. During their tenure at NYU Langone Health, Matthew implemented various automation initiatives and optimized workflows, resulting in significant time and cost savings. Matthew was also involved in the migration of legacy agreements and the standardization of contract review processes. Before joining NYU Langone Health, Matthew worked as a Sourcing Specialist and Associate Sourcing Specialist at various organizations. Matthew began their career as a Transportation/Logistics Intern at Wakefern Food Corp. Matthew's expertise lies in strategic sourcing, contract management, and process optimization.

Matthew Vaccarino, MBA, completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from St. John's University in 2018. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of Rhode Island, graduating in 2011 with a degree in Business, focusing on Supply Chain Management.
