Tony Shahbazian

Tony Shahbazian has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tony is currently the Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer at Hosteeva, where they have been since December 2014. At Hosteeva, they are focused on revolutionizing the vacation rental industry by developing technology to increase rental income for homeowners and provide a stress-free experience for guests.

Prior to their role at Hosteeva, Tony worked at Microsoft as a Principal Program Manager from May 2010. There, they were responsible for leading the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for Cloud Management products and services. Tony also drove User Experience Design and development for various applications.

Tony also co-founded Smart Layover in November 2012, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer. Smart Layover is a patent-pending technology that detects layovers and offers convenient and cost-effective alternatives for passengers. This includes hotel day use rooms, sightseeing tours, and special deals at airport terminals.

Before their time at Smart Layover, Tony worked at Amazon as a Sr. Technical Program Manager from September 2007 to May 2010. Tony led the program development of software applications, systems, platforms, services, or technologies. Tony also played a key role in designing and deploying a new generation of the product catalog for the Amazon store platform.

Prior to joining Amazon, Tony worked at ZAPTEST as a Principal Strategic Consultant from May 2006 to September 2007. In this role, they managed multiple simultaneous offshore testing automation projects and provided expertise on test automation and application monitoring strategies to enhance system delivery.

Tony's early career includes a role as a Senior Program Manager at Motorola Solutions from May 1999 to May 2006. In this role, Tony managed the Research and Development division responsible for developing monitoring systems for cellular wireless communication, which were deployed in various countries.

Tony Shahbazian completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at Bar-Ilan University from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they pursued further education, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from The Open University of Israel between 1999 and 2002.
