Symantha Perrera

Symantha Perrera has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fashion industry. Symantha started their career as an intern at Luxury Garage Sale in 2011 and later interned at Electric Grading with Barbara Ostler, True Blessyn, and Proenza Schouler in the following years. In 2014, they worked as a Fashion Stylist at RE/LABLD, where they were responsible for data entry, product authentication, and product styling. Perrera also gained experience as a Studio Assistant at Katrin Schnabl. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as an Apparel Designer at ThinkGeek/Game Stop. In 2016, Perrera founded their own brand called FACE.LLC, where they served as the Owner and Designer. Symantha oversaw various aspects of the brand, including communication with factories, production work, planning events, and researching trends. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Fashion Designer at Hot Topic, where they design and creates sketches for various product lines, mentors and coaches other designers, and presents design pitch decks to external partners.

Symantha Perrera attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fashion/Apparel Design. Symantha also attended the same institution to obtain another Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in the same field of study.
