Shendy Farber, SHRM-CP, PHR has over 23 years of work experience. Shendy currently serves as the Director of Human Resources at The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, Curio by Hilton. Shendy joined the company in August 2019 and is responsible for various HR functions, including recruiting, on-boarding, and training new employees. Shendy has been with the company since 2012 and previously held the position of Human Resources Manager, where they streamlined HR efficiencies and facilitated training programs. Prior to that, they worked as a Human Resources Administrator for over 12 years, where they conducted training, handled recruitment, and facilitated new hire orientation. Before transitioning to HR roles, Shendy worked as a General Cashier/Payroll Administrator and Guest Service Agent/Reservationist in the hotel industry. Additionally, they have served as a Board member for SHRM since January 2015.

Shendy Farber obtained a Human Resources Management Certificate from George Mason University in 2009. In addition, they earned the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM in January 2015 and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in May 2009.
