Budi Laksmono

Budi Laksmono has extensive experience in financial management and control within the hospitality industry. Budi started their career as the Director of Finance at Uluwatu Resort, where they implemented cost control systems and standardized financial reporting, resulting in a significant increase in profits. Budi continued their career as the Financial Controller at Gran Melia Jakarta and later moved to Angkor Century Resort & SPA, where they served as the Group Financial Controller, overseeing both property and owning company financial matters. Budi then joined Delta Hotels as a Controller, where they were responsible for budget preparation and administration. At Deerhurst Resort, they served as the Controller and successfully managed a $27 million budget, implemented a new budgeting process, and validated budgeting templates. Most recently, Budi held the position of Director of Finance at JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa, where they managed accounting and business support systems and was appointed as one of the Board Directors of the condo corporation. Budi is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Hotel X Toronto by Library Hotel Collection.

Budi Laksmono has a diverse education history. Budi began in 1988 by pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance with a minor in Japanese at California State University, Fullerton. In 1989, they obtained a certificate in Japanese Studies from Nanzan University. Budi continued their education and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Marketing from California State University-San Bernardino from 1992 to 1994. In 1999-2000, they pursued a certificate in Modern Telecommunication and Enterprise Networking from the University of California, Riverside. Lastly, in 2008, they obtained a certificate in Advanced Hospitality Operations from Cornell University.
