Eric Chan

Eric Chan has a diverse work experience in the field of proteomics, ranging from being an Associate Director at HotSpot Therapeutics, Inc. since 2022, to holding the position of Principal Scientist at Synthorx Inc from 2021 to 2022. Before that, they worked at AbSci as a Group Lead from 2021 to 2021 and as a Principal Scientist from 2020 to 2021. Prior to their time at AbSci, Eric was the Director of Proteomics at PolarityTE from 2019 to 2020. Eric also gained extensive experience at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where they served as a Senior Research Scientist from 2018 to 2019, a Research Scientist 2 from 2014 to 2018, and a Research Scientist 1 from 2013 to 2014. Eric started their career as a Scientist I at Constellation Pharmaceuticals from 2010 to 2013, followed by post-doctoral research positions at Princeton University from 2010 to 2011 and the University of Washington from 2008 to 2010. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Data Analyst at Rosetta Biosoftware from 2006 to 2009 and as a Summer Intern at SUGEN, Inc. in 2000.

Eric Chan earned a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Washington from 2002 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a B.A. in Molecular & Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, attending from 1998 to 2002.
