Mark Weir

Mark Weir is a Senior Scientist in Immunology at HotSpot Therapeutics, Inc. Mark previously worked as a Scientist in Discovery Pharmacology at EMD Serono, Inc., and as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. With a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology, Mark has extensive experience in developing novel therapeutics for diseases like acute myeloid leukemia. During their undergraduate years at Juniata College, Mark researched retrotransposition in yeast. At Vanderbilt University, Mark focused on characterizing the pro-apoptotic protein BID in response to cellular stress.
