James Mitchell is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in private equity and investment. Currently serving as Managing Director in Financial Sponsors Coverage at Houlihan Lokey since January 2022, James previously held the position of Director in the same group. Prior to Houlihan Lokey, James worked as a Consultant at Axiom Equity, focusing on high-growth B2B software investments, and as an Investment Professional at Navora Capital, where the emphasis was on acquiring and growing lower mid-market software companies. James's earlier experience includes serving as Director at Longacre Group, Associate Director at KPMG UK, Associate at H.I.G. Capital, and Corporate Finance Graduate at Wilton Group. Academically, James holds a Master's in International Relations with a focus on the Middle East and Islamic Finance from Durham University and an LLB in Law from the University of Leeds.
